Assignment Feature

We believe Canvas has better features than Moodle. Canvas clearly shows where assignments can be found, and there are multiple ways to view the assignments. Canvas also shows the due date and points of each assignment in a consistent fashion. Both LMS appear equally good at uploading files to complete assignments. In Moodle, assignments and other course information look too similar. The details for an assignment are merely repeated from one view to the next, but the assignment must be completed in a certain view. The due date and points of an assignment can be included in a consistent manner in the assignment's details if the professor chooses to do so. However, we think it would be easier for everybody involved if the instructor gave the due date and points and the LMS did the formatting automatically, which Canvas does. Gradebook Feature

Canvas is the preferable LMS because the grades can be found easily and the "What-If" scores are helpful and can be saved. Both Canvas and Moodle have big-picture and course-specific views for grades. The following table summarizes our findings.
